Oxidative Stress Analysis Services
Oxidative stress, caused by the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and reactive nitrogen species under harmful internal and external stimuli, plays a key role in cellular and tissue dysfunction. C. elegans serves as an excellent model organism for studying antioxidant functions due to its similarity to the human antioxidant system, including comparable antioxidant enzymes. By assessing ROS level and monitoring the lifespan of C. elegans, researchers can explore drugs and compounds mechanisms, analyze gene regulatory network and better understand oxidative stress-related pathways.
Our Services include but are not limited to:
ØOxidative Stress Model Construction
Develop C. elegans oxidative stress models using compounds like paraquat and juglone to induce stress condition.
ØAntioxidant Drug Evaluation
The effects of antioxidant drugs were evaluated by observing the survival of C. elegans after oxidative stress, detecting the changes in the content of antioxidant enzymes (SOD, CAT, etc.), and measuring the level of ROS in C. elegans using H2DCFDA probe.
