The French government has implemented strict immigration control and quarantine policies in response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The C.elegans conference organizers made a provisional decision in May to switch the 9th European Worm Meeting, scheduled for mid-July 2020 in the southern French city of Marseille, to be broadcast live online via zoom, making it the first online European Worm Meeting (eEuropean Worm Meeting.

Nearly 500 people from 28 countries registered for the two-day Light version European Worm Meeting and the poster presentation session that followed.
