EWM 2024 brings over 300 European scientists together, with providing a platform for researchers in the field of C.elegans in Europe to communicate and share their insights and research fruits, was successfully held during July 1-3, in Utrecht, the Netherlands.
The research themes at this meeting are typically developmental biology, neurobiology, ageing, genome organization, regulation of gene expression and ecology and evolution.
Two invited keynote speakers, Profs Marie-Anne Felix (École Normale Supérieure, Paris) and Bob Goldstein (UNC Chapel Hill, United States) hosted the beginning and conclusion of the meeting respectively. The rest of the presentations were covered by a limited set of invited junior PIs, and speakers selected based on their submitted abstracts. A wide variety of topics and techniques has been covered, including microscopy, genomics, genome manipulation using CRISPR/Cas9 etc.
